Annemarie Hargadon, President
Annie Hargadon is a doctor of internal medicine with degrees from Stanford University and the Dartmouth School of Medicine. She is an avid FIT House boot camp participant. She lives in Davis with her husband, daughter and dog. She enjoys hiking and reading. Within the Foundation, her focus lies on our school-age fitness programs.
Lisa Herrington, Secretary
Lisa Yackzan Herrington graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and attended the University of California at San Diego where she obtained an Exercise Science and Fitness Instruction Certificate. Lisa currently works full-time at FIT House in Davis – combining her career with her passion ~ inspiring others to lead healthy lifestyles. She especially enjoys instilling a sense of confidence in children through exercise and fun physical activities.
Jeannine Henderson, Treasurer, Assistant Race Director & Head Timer
Jeannine brings sixteen years of event management, timing and promotions experience to the Foundation. Aside from overseeing the finances, she is also responsible for volunteer recruitment, website design, marketing, graphic design and event logistics as the Assistant Race Director. A graduate of the University of California – Davis, Jeannine holds three Bachelor’s degrees, in the fields of Economics, Organizational Studies and Political Science. As the Head Timing for the branch of the Foundation that provides registration and chip timing services, she oversees all aspects of registration and timing for client events. Jeannine enjoys running in her free time, and resides in Woodland with her husband and three children.
Jennifer Miramontes, Board Member
Jennifer has over twenty years of experience in the marketing field, including positions as the Marketing Director for Chevys Fresh Mex restaurants and Real Mex restaurants. Jennifer also has extensive experience developing community programs geared towards children, having served on the Board of Directors for the Davis Schools Foundation as well as the Patwin PTA. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Pepperdine University, and is also a certified personal trainer. A runner herself, Jennifer has completed numerous triathlons and over 50 marathons, including top age-group finishes in high profile events such as the Boston Marathon and the Rock N Roll Marathon. Jennifer owns FIT House in Davis and enjoys inspiring her clients to reach their fitness goals.
Brad Shuman, Board Member
Brad, also a staff member, is involved with site planning and set-up, permit coordination, and equipment needs for the Foundation’s events. A graduate of the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Brad brings over 25 years of experience working with youth and outdoor activities to the Foundation. He is a former SCUBA instructor having taught all levels of diving from recreational, to leadership, and research diving at both UC Davis and a dive shop he co-founded. An active volunteer in the classroom, as well as the Patwin PTA where he has chaired a number of committees and served on the board as Vice President and President. Brad also enjoys coaching youth sports. He resides in Davis with his wife and two children.
A Change of Pace Foundation has a staff of 23 and growing. Following are brief biographies of our key personnel:
Dave Miramontes, Executive Director
Dave’s impressive 26 years of event director leadership and marketing experience are invaluable to the Foundation. Dave also has been involved with youth sports for 15 years, from producing kid-related events to managing/coaching youth sports teams to sitting on the Board of Directors for Davis Little League. As the Race Director for the Foundation’s events, Dave is responsible for course design and implementation and oversees all aspects of the events, including graphic design, advertising, marketing and logistics. Dave graduated with a BS from Pepperdine University and majored in both Physical Education and Communications. As a former division I and minor league baseball player, Dave has an extensive background with both professional and youth sports. He hobbies include tennis, running, cycling, and of course baseball. He resides in Davis with his wife and four active children.
Staci Garcia, Hospitality & Timing Coordinator
Staci assists A Change of Pace in a variety of areas, including athlete hospitality (a broad term we use for making the athlete experience better; this includes overseeing the t-shirts, medals, Tour de FIT, booths and presentation) and event timing. Staci is a graduate of CSU – Fresno and before coming to A Change of Pace, worked for both UC Davis and Yolo County. Staci resides in Woodland with her husband and two children.
Ron Miramontes, Senior Course Supervisor
Ron has two decades of experience working with A Change of Pace and laying our courses on race day, including coning, chalking, volunteer and fluid station placement, and officer coordinator. An integral part to a successful event, Ron is a key member of our logistics staff.
Jarred Ney, Site and Course Coordinator
Jarred has been a part of the A Change of Pace logistics crew since 2012. Jarred works with the logistics team to ensure that the race site is properly set up, and also assists with course marking and set-up. Jarred is student at American River College and part of their baseball team.
Alan Anderson, Announcer
Alan has been announcing A Change of Pace events for over a decade, and with that time has evolved to be a leading race announcer in the region. Alan leads a department at Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. He enjoys running and bootcamp and the occasional round of golf. Look for Alan at the start and finish lines at the next A Change of Pace event.
