Giving a TRI a try is a healthy & fun experience for any kid 2004 DAVIS KIDS TRIATHLON
Kids ages 4-17 years are invited to the third annual Davis Kids Triathlon, happening on Sunday, August 15th at the brand-new Schaal Aquatics Center at UC Davis.
The Davis Kids Triathlon, presented by UC Davis Children's Hospital, features swim, bike and run courses that are fun and achievable for kids. This year's new venue includes an Olympic-sized pool; this combined with the surrounding beauty of the UC Davis campus, creates a beautiful site to stage the event.
The Davis Kids Triathlon is one of the largest kid's triathlons in the state and is also one of the only kid's triathlons in the United States to offer a division for kids ages 15-17 years. Entry includes a race t-shirt, custom race water bottle, custom finisher's medal, goodie bag and post-race food and activities. At $23-28 per child for pre-registration, the event is 25-30% less expensive than other Northern California kids triathlons and offers a great deal more. We strongly encourage pre-registration as the triathlon has a field limit of 600 kids. Sibling discounts are available. DAVIS YOUTH BASEBALL CAMP: The region's finest baseball camp for kids
The Davis Youth Baseball Camp (DYBC) returns to the Little League fields of Davis this summer from July 5-9th. If your child loves baseball, but hasn't participated in this camp before, this is one summer activity they need to experience first-hand. DYBC offers professional and fun instruction on the basics of baseball to kids ages 5-12. Paired in groups based on skill level and age, campers will be taught the fundamentals of baseball: hitting, fielding, base running, pitching and catching. An 8:1 camper-to-coach ratio ensures personalized instruction and attention. Instructional focus is based on Little League play. Daily camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Early Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. The DYBC has a camp limit of 100 kids and has sold out for the past two years. Entry forms may be picked up at the Davis Little League field as well as at area sports stores; a downloadable entry form is available on our web site - click here.
Camp features include:
- Official Camp T-shirt
- Cap
