Race Registration

Registration for the 2013 Davis Moo-nlight Races opened on December 5, 2012.  The first fee cut-off is on March 31st. You can register online with a credit card, via mail with a check/money order, or in-person at Fleet Feet-Davis with cash or check.

This is a fun and festive evening event replete with lots of cool glow in the dark themed race items, an energetic atmosphere and great running/walking routes.

Your entry includes:

  • Commemorative unique race bib – with complimentary bib personalization (avail. thru 6/8/13)
  • Disposable chip timing for the 5K/10K/Half
  • Age Group Awards 3-Deep in the Half Marathon/5K/10K
  • Short Sleeve Race T-shirt with option to upgrade to a Men’s or Women’s Short Sleeve Technical T-shirt. Race t-shirts include a glow in the dark theme
  • Finisher’s Medal for Half Marathon finishers – which glows in the dark
  • Finisher’s Ribbon for Kids Fun Run finishers
  • Optional Commemorative Participation Medal available for $5. May be purchased by any participant in any division. Pre-order your medal by 6/8/13. Only a very limited # will be available for purchase at the event. The participation medal is a different medal than the half finisher’s medal.

    • Race Night (July 13) at Start/Finish area

    • You will need ID to pick up your bib number.

We are thrilled to be able to offer  entry fees up that are, on average, at least 20% less than other comparable events.  Register early to ensure you receive the best pricing.

5K and 10K:

  • $35.00 July 13 (Race Day)

Half Marathon

  • $44.00 by March 31
  • $50.00 April 1-July 1
  • $53.00 July 2-July 12
  • $55.00 July 13 (Race Day)

  • Optional participation medal: $5.00. Must pre order by June 8. (Half Entry includes a Half Mar. finisher’s medal)

Kid’s 1 Mile (Ages 12 and Under)

  • $10.00 by May 1
  • $12.00 May 2 – July 1
  • $14.00 July 2-12
  • $16.00 July 13 (Race Day)
  • Technical T-shirt Upgrade: $6.00. Smallest size is Men’s XS or Women’s S.
  • Optional participation medal: $5.00. Must pre order by June 8.
  • Bib personalization is complimentary and available thru June 8.

All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Event happens regardless of rain, sun or wind!

Your Race Entry to the 2013 Davis Moonlight Race:

All entries include a short sleeve, 100% cotton tshirt. We offer the option to “upgrade” your t-shirt to a technical shirt for a fee of $6.00. There is no cut-off to register for a technical shirt, although sizes are guaranteed only for pre-registered entrants. Sizes and shirt type availability at Packet Pick Up and Race Night are “while supplies last”. We strongly encourage you to pre-register!

The 5K, 10K and Half Marathon will be timed using our disposable RFID chip timing technology. The timing chips will be affixed on the back of your race bib – and there is nothing to put on your shoe (keeping it simple!). Finishers in the Half Marathon will receive a heavyweight medal with a glow in the dark feature. We offer the option for any participant to purchase a Participation Medal for $5.00. The deadline to reserve this is June 8th. The Participation medal will also have a glow in the dark feature, but will be an entirely different medal from the Half Marathon Finisher’s Medal (included with half marathon entry). Kid’s 1 mile finishers will receive a ribbon. All entrants in the 5K/10K/Half Marathon are eligible for age division awards (5 year age divisions). After the event, we will have refreshments available for the athletes.

Optional Participation Medal

In response to numerous requests, we are offering the opportunity to purchase a participation medal for the race (by June 8).
Medals will include a portion which glows in the dark, and feature the 2013 event design. One medal will be available
(similar to one t-shirt design being available). The back will be suitable for engraving should you wish to have
the back engraved with your distance and finish time. Please note: Half Marathon finishers will receive a (different)
Half Marathon Finisher’s Medal which is included with the Half Marathon entry fee. Kids Fun Run entrants will be awarded a
ribbon.

Please note:

There is a small “convenience” fee for online registration. This fee covers the costs associated with using credit / debit cards and online processing and we strive to keep the fees as low as possible. We also offer entry by mail and in-person at Fleet Feet in  Davis.

Field Limits:

Field limits exist in order to keep the event fun and safe for all and allow runners and walkers adequate space to run at their desired pace during the event. Field limits are 2,500 for the half marathon, 3,000 for the 5K/10K (combined), and 300 kids. Please register early to save money and ensure your space.

Refund/cancellation & Entry Rules:

All entries are non-refundable and are not transferable to another event. No refunds under any circumstances. No refunds of the “difference” if you drop down from Half Marathon to 5K/10K. If you wish to transfer your entry to a friend or family member in the case that you become injured or cannot otherwise attend, you may do so on or before July 1. There is no fee to transfer to a friend/family member but your request must be made in writing via email to info@changeofpace.com. No phone, fax or  in person requests for entry transfers. No transfers requests accepted after 11:59 PM after July 1, 2013. ID is required to pick up bibs for participants 18 and older.  All race communication is done via e-mail so please include an email that you check on your entry. Emails are not sold or traded.
