Davis Stampede
Please join us on Sunday, February 9th for the 32nd Annual Davis Stampede.
An extra weekend in February in 2014 means that the Stampede will NOT fall on Superbowl Sunday in 2014. The Superbowl is February 2. What does that mean? An extra week of training, of course!
The Davis Stampede takes place each year in early February, and includes 5K, 10K and Half Marathon routes. Starting and finishing at Downtown Davis’ Central Park, the event is considered by many to be the unofficial kick-off to the annual running/walking season. Courses are mostly flat and take runners and walkers through downtown, east and south Davis’s greenbelts and neighborhood streets. Race amenities include finisher’s medals, half marathon pace groups, complimentary personalized bib numbers (must register by Jan. 2, 2014), a choice between tech and cotton shirts, a post-race expo, half marathon course aid stations stocked with water, electrolyte replacement and nutrition along the course.
