About the Camp

The Davis Youth Baseball Camp (DYBC) provides athletes ages 5-12 with a fundamental understanding of baseball. Given our age range, emphasis will be placed on Little League play. The camp is designed with a personal and positive approach and has proven to be highly successful. All activities are structured for rapid skill development with appropriate emphasis placed on each age level.

Campers desiring an all-day camp may enroll in our afternoon "Splash" Camp. Afternoon camp continues after 12:00 noon when the morning camp is dismissed. It includes a daily lunch, additional baseball instruction, and two hours at the nearby Community Pool for swimming. Given the pool time, all players enrolled in the afternoon camp must be pool safe.

For older kids, we offer the DYBC Advanced Pitching Camp for kids ages 11-18. The Advanced Pitching Camp will be held daily from 1-3 pm and focuses on pitching and arm strenthening/care.

Camp Registration

How To Register:

Download the entry form and submit via US Mail or drop off at A Change of Pace, 221 G Street, #205 in Downtown Davis.

Register Online. Online registration is available through midnight on June 14th. Please note that there is a surcharge to register online (approximately 7%). The exact amount will be displayed in your browser screen before you submit payment.

We will accept registration forms on the first day of camp if space permits. This website will be updated accordingly.

Additional Camp Details:

Camp Staff
Dave Miramontes, Camp Director, takes a great deal of time to hand-select and train his staff. The camp staff consists of athletes who have played at the college level. The 8:1 player to coach ratio enables a more personalized and effective approach to teaching. Many staff members have played or are currently playing for the UC Davis Aggie’s Baseball team.

Skills To Be Covered
Form and function for batting; throwing, fielding and base running. Each camper will leave with a better overall understanding of each position and their responsibilities. Daily teaching groups are formed based on skill level and age.

Necessary Equipment
Each camper should bring his/her baseball glove, hat and pants; cleats and an athletic cup (boys). DYBC cannot be held responsible for any personal items brought by camp participants.

Camp Facility
DYBC is hosted at the Davis Little League Complex, located at the Corner of F Street and Covell Blvd. Parking and Drop-Off for the field is at the Northern end of H Street. (It is easiest to access H Street from 8th Street).

Extra Inning Sessions
Extra Inning Sessions are half-hour private lessons available for batting; throwing, fielding and pitching. Players may register for one or two sessions daily at 12:15pm and 1:00 pm. Campers registered for the All Day Camp or the Advanced Pitching Camp may not register for Extra Inning Sessions (time conflicts).

Refund Policy:
A $25 Non-refundable deposit will apply to ALL applications. Any cancellations must be requested in writing no later than 2 weeks prior to the fi rst day of camp.
