The Pleasanton Run for Education 5K offers a family-friendly race from the Alameda County Fairgrounds through downtown Pleasanton.
In 2012, the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation (PPIE) held the first “Pleasanton Run for Education,” and in just a few short years, the event has become Pleasanton’s premier family-focused fitness fundraiser.
To date, the event has raised over $400,000 for Pleasanton schools. In 2017 alone, thanks to the generous support of our community, volunteers and participants, the event netted over $100,000.
The 6th annual Pleasanton Run for Education takes place Sunday, April 15, 2018. All races begin and end at the Alameda County Fairgrounds and this year’s event is shaping up to be better than ever.
Participants can stroll, walk or run the 5K or 10K – or add them together for a 15K. These are all great training distances, whether you’re ramping up for your first foot race or training for a marathon. The Kids’ Challenge course offers two distances: 1/2K and 1K. The day winds up with an Awards Ceremony and Expo, featuring activities for kids and vendors from the surrounding community.
