What Is Runnin' For Rhett? Runnin' for Rhett is a Sacramento-based non-profit organization that was founded in the memory of Rhett Seevers. Rhett was an inspirational little boy whose laughter was contagious. Rhett was diagnosed as an infant with severe cerebral palsy and could not walk or run, one of the things he wanted to do most. The Runnin' for Rhett organization encourages everyone to do what Rhett wanted so badly to do - run or walk - and move into life. Read more about Runnin for Rhett here.
Runnin' for Rhett was founded in 2007 and has since made a tremendous impact in the Greater Sacramento area.

At 8:30 AM, the 5K (3.1 mile) and 10K (6.2 mile) races will start together near the intersection of N Streets and Third Streets. Runners and walkers will be treated to a scenic course that travels along both sides of Capitol Mall, along K Street, under I-5, through Old Sacramento and along the Sacramento River. Courses are flat and fast and utilize both City streets and bike paths. Three fluid stations will be offered on the 10K and one will be available on the 5K. Several members of the Runnin' for Rhett organization have been involved in the design of this course, and have both run and cycled it to ensure it is not only accurate, but an enjoyable route for all participants.
