The 2015 Davis Moonlight Race will take place on Saturday evening, July 11 in Davis, CA. The event will include 5K, 10K, 10 Mile and Half Marathon courses that travel through South and East Davis.  For kids 12 and under, we offer a 1/2 mile fun run.

This is a fun and festive evening event replete with lots of cool glow in the dark themed race items, an energetic atmosphere and great running/walking routes.

Your entry includes:

  • Commemorative unique race bib – with complimentary bib personalization (avail. thru 6/15/15)
  • Disposable chip timing for the 5K/10K/10 Mile/Half
  • Age Group Awards 3-Deep in the Half Marathon/Ten Mile/5K/10K
  • Short Sleeve Race T-shirt with option to upgrade to a Men’s or Women’s Short Sleeve Technical T-shirt.
  • Finisher’s Medal for Half Marathon & Ten Mile finishers – which glows in the dark
  • Finisher’s Ribbon for Kids Fun Run finishers
  • Optional Commemorative Participation Medal available for $5. May be purchased by any participant in any division. Pre-order your medal by 6/15/15. Only a very limited # will be available for purchase at the event.

NEW Cut Off Times:  A Change of Pace spends a tremendous of time on logistics and is very conscious of pleasing all entities involved. This includes our staff, the Davis police, host property, city, residents, traffic, runners and of course our tireless volunteer staff. The Moonlight Run is unique in many ways including the early evening start times. This year, we will impose a 3:00 hr. completion time for all events and feel confident it will make for a smoother event all-around.  As we understand some of our athletes may not be planning to finish a 1/2 marathon in the allotted timeframe, we have created a 10 mile distance to enable those runners averaging a pace greater than 13:45 min/mile pace the opportunity to still enjoy the event. (Please keep in mind that our 3:00 hr cut-off means that course support will be in effect for that timeframe, however our finish line will remain open until 3:30).

  • Registration will be accepted at Packet Pick Up (July 10) and race night (July 11) as space permits

***Optional Participation Medal: An optional Participation medal may be purchased by entrants in any division for $5.00. Optional medal pre-order is available through June 15th. Please note: Half Marathon & Ten Mile entry includes a finisher’s medal (a different medal than the participation medal).

Field Limits:  Field limits exist in order to keep the event fun and safe for all and allow runners and walkers adequate space to run at their desired pace during the event. Field limits are 2,000 for the half marathon & Ten Mile, 2,500 for the 5K/10K (combined), and 300 kids. Please register early to save money and ensure your space.

Please note: There is a small “convenience” fee for online registration. This fee covers the costs associated with using credit / debit cards and online processing and we strive to keep the fees as low as possible. We also offer entry by mail and in-person at Fleet Feet in  Davis.

Refund/cancellation & Entry Rules: All entries are non-refundable and are not transferable to another event. No refunds under any circumstances. No refunds of the “difference” if you drop down from Half Marathon/10 Mile to 5K/10K etc. If you wish to transfer your entry to a friend or family member in the case that you become injured or cannot otherwise attend, you may do so on or before July 1. There is no fee to transfer to a friend/family member but your request must be made in writing via email to No phone, fax or  in person requests for entry transfers. No transfers requests accepted after 11:59 PM after July 1, 2015. ID is required to pick up bibs for participants 18 and older.  All race communication is done via e-mail so please include an email that you check on your entry. Emails are not sold or traded.
