Make a Splash on Labor Day!
The Davis Labor Day Run is on Monday, September 1st (just 17 days away!) and is a fun, family-oriented, healthy way to commemorate the unofficial end of summer.
Come hang out at beautiful Central Park and check out its newest addition, Natalie’s Corner Splash Pad. This project is in memory of fallen Davis Police Officer Natalie Corona. The splash pad (open 10am to 7pm daily in the summer), which also includes public art honoring Natalie, a pollinator garden, and educational displays, has its grand opening tomorrow, August 16th, from 10am – 11am (more info here).Â
Back to the Labor Day Run: whether you finish the 10K, 5K, 1-Mile, or Kids Run, you’ll receive a finisher’s medal to remember your experience.
A symbol of your achievement, medals represent your hard work, perseverance, and determination (plus your commitment to exercise and stay healthy).Â
This year’s medal features a textured background behind the sun with vibrant translucent enamel filling in the textured space.
