The Project Pink 5K Run or Walk is a fundraising event being hosted by A Change of Pace Foundation to raise funds for Project Pink. Project Pink is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide help and hope to young women diagnosed with breast cancer. This support includes outreach for those undergoing chemotherapy, education and screenings. The 2nd Annual Project Pink 5K Run/Walk will take place in Davis, CA where Ann Murray-Paige, co-founder of Project Pink and author of “Pink Tips”, resided. Join the sea of pink in October 2014 in support of breast cancer awareness.
Start Time: 5:00 PM
Distance: 5K (3.1 mile) Run or Walk
Entry includes t-shirt (short sleeve cotton), bib number, chip timing & eligibility for awards, post-race wine sampling and hors oeuvres, and a finisher’s gift (see below for example).
Preview of the charm / necklace which each finisher will receive upon finishing the 5K. Take the “You Got This” to mean what you need; on October 25th it will symbolize your finish of the 5K. Later, it may be one of life’s hurdles. Either way, as Ann Murray-Paige would often say, “Don’t worry, you got this.”
Entry fees are $30.00 through September 30th, $35.00 October 1-15, $40.00 from October 16 through October 24 and $45.00 on race evening (October 25).
For those ages 12 and under, the entry fee is $20.00 through October 24, and $25.00 on race day.

Location: Putah Creek Winery, 9518 Drummond Ave, Davis, CA.
From Lillard Drive, turn south on Danbury Street and pass Montgomery School. Continue straight on Danbury as it turns into Drummond. The winery is located on your left after you exit the residential area.
Ann Murray-Paige founded Project Pink when she was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly a decade ago. In that time, she co-created & produced the highly acclaimed documentary, “The Breast Cancer Diaries” along with two books, “Words to Live By” and “Pink Tips”. All three serve to provide hope and understanding to young women with breast cancer.

Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in the following divisions: 9 and Under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, …, 60-69, 70+.
The course starts and finishes at Putah Creek Winery, winding through South Davis neighborhoods and bike paths.
