When To Arrive on Race Day: Arrive at the event (Thursday, July 4) at least 45 minutes before your race start; allow another 20 minutes if you need to register another participant or pick up your race bib. All races will start on time and there is no opportunity to start late.

Note: Please be sure to wear your race bib on the FRONT of your body. Safety pins are available at registration.

Parking for Race Day: From Folsom Blvd, turn onto Woodmere Lane as outlined in below map. This avoids the road closure on Parkshore Drive for Start/Finish line set up.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

Begin your hydration for tomorrow’s race by consuming water today, tomorrow before the race, during, and after. While we have water / Gatorade stops on the courses (one on the 2M/5K, two on the 10K), you may want to consider carrying water or electrolyte replacement with you during your run/walk. It’s going to be a warm morning even with the early start time.

Course Maps: View on our website here or link to a high-res 5K/10K PDF here

Course Etiquette: run or walk on the right, pass on the left. Be sure to leave space for other race participants or bikes on the trails to safely pass you – do not walk or run more than two or three abreast. Again, due to the heat, and although we will have water stations, we encourage you to bring a handheld water bottle with you during the race so that you can access hydration during your entire run/walk.

Dogs and Strollers: Dogs and strollers are permitted in all three timed races, however, must start toward the back. Please do not bring dogs that cannot stay calm in crowds or around other dogs. We also encourage you to bring a portable water dish so that your dog can stay hydrated.

Kids Fun Run: One parent may run alongside a child during the 1/4 mile run if that makes the child feel more comfortable. The Kids Fun Run will start at 9:00 am at the main start/finish line. Please listen to directions from the Race Announcer as to where to line up. The course is and out-and-back on Parkshore Drive, heading west.

Post-Race: After you finish your event, we will have light refreshments and sno-cones available for all participants free of charge. Be sure to also check out our booths: Shriners Children’s Hospital, Barkcuterie (charcuterie boards for dogs), and Nor Cal Groms (SUP paddleboard clinics, team, and events).

All finishers in every distance will receive a finisher’s medal when they cross the finish line.

In addition, the 2 Mile, 5K, and 10K will be timed, and the following awards will be computed. Scan the QR code on your race bib to view results, visit in your phone browser, or visit the registration tables to view results on a chromebook.

Prizes will be available for pick-up on race day at the awards tent as follows:

2 Mile: Top 3 overall winners (gun time) by gender, top 3 finishers in each age group by gender (based on net time)

5K & 10K: Top 3 overall winners (gun time) by gender, top 3 finishers in each age group by gender (based on net time), top 3 finishers by gender (using net time) in each special division: Folsom resident, Law Enforcement/First Responder, Strollers, Adaptive Athlete, US Military Veteran, US Military Active Duty/Reserves.

Unclaimed awards are not mailed! If you do not pick up on race day, we will have a pick-up at Fleet Feet Folsom from July 7 to July 25.

Facchino Photography will be on the course to capture your image during your run/walk. You will be emailed a proof when your photos are ready (be sure to wear your bib on the front of your body) or you can view the images at the below link. They will be live approximately four business days after the event.
