Davis Turkey Trot to benefit Yolo County SPCA
The Yolo County SPCA is a beneficiary of this year’s Davis Turkey Trot, happening on Saturday, November 23rd. With more stray and abandoned cats and dogs than ever needing help, your participation in the event will allow this nonprofit to help more animals.
Critical funds raised from this event will be used to
- spay and neuter cats and dogs
- provide foster homes with needed items like pet food and cat litter
- pay for necessary vaccinations, deworming and other medical care
- ensure that animals in their program receive the best chance at finding their forever home.
Well-behaved dogs welcome
The Davis Turkey Trot is dog-friendly, and you run/walk with your dog, you have the choice to join the special dog division for the 2 Mile race and win ‘Top Dog’ prizes!
New this year, any entrant may add-on the Barktastic Treat Bag to their race entry and receive a special dog medal, bandanna, and other items for your best bud with your registration. 10% of the proceeds of the treat bags will also go to the SPCA.
Important Note: Dogs that are reactive to other dogs, crowds, or loud noises should not attend.
Every Entry Benefits the Yolo SPCA
Whether you are a cat, dog, hamster, bird or just animal lover in general, we hope you’ll join us at Davis’ 36th annual Davis Turkey Trot this November 23rd! Every race entry will raise money for Yolo SPCA programs.
The event is also a great way to join a community-oriented event with friends and family for some exercise before the holidays begin. The race takes place on the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving.
There’s even a virtual division for those unable to attend in-person on November 23rd.
