The Cause: Cancer Champions |
Nobody wants to go on a cancer journey, but if it is your or a loved one’s reality, Cancer Champions is an indispensable resource and ready to be part of your support team. What makes them unique is:
Having cancer can be extremely expensive. The financial goal of the Cancer Champions Run is to raise money for patient grants so that more people can take part in this vital program during and after their cancer diagnosis. |
The Courses: |
The race starts and finishes at River Walk Park in West Sacramento, which is located just north of the old “Money Store” building. Nestled along the banks of the Sacramento River, this grassy 7.5 acre park offers pristine views of the water, Old Sac, and the Tower and “I” Street bridges. 5K and 1 Mile participants will travel through West Sacramento, while 10K entrants will first cross the Tower Bridge and then travel along the Jedidiah Smith bike trail to Discovery Park and back; then complete the next 3 miles on the West Sacramento side. The breathtaking views will make the effort worth it! |
