Add this sparkling beauty to your collection on July 4th
Our finisher medals have arrived and we’re thrilled to share that they exceeded our expectations! This sparkly medal, pictured above, captures the essence of the Folsom Firecracker race with the inclusion of firecrackers, red-white-blue stars, a running path, and the river (plus a little glitter just because).
If have already signed up, one of these beauties will be gloriously hanging around your neck in just one month. We look forward to including you in the event.
If you have not yet registered, as a reminder, the last day to sign up at the current price tier is this Saturday, June 7th.
Sign up online here. Race day is Friday, July 4th.
Family-Oriented Fourth of July Fun in Folsom
Our Folsom Firecracker race has four distances that kick off at 7:45 am: the traditional 5K and 10K, plus a 2 Mile for those looking to run or walk a shorter course.
At the end of the morning (at 9:00am) we host a kids fun run for ages 10 and under. It’s a quarter-mile course, non-competitive, and all kids receive a finisher medal.
A pre-race Packet Pick Up will be held on Thursday, July 3 from 3:30 to 7:00 pm at Fleet Feet Folsom. If you cannot attend on Thursday, you can pick up your bib and shirt on race day (July 4) near the start line starting at 6:30 am.
What sets this race apart from others?
- Military discount for active duty, reserves, and veterans
- Heavyweight medals for age group winners (3-deep) in the 2 Mile, 5K and 10K
- Special divisions offered in the 5K and 10K (no extra fee to enter) with prizes to the top three finishers by gender in the following categories:
— Adaptive Athlete
— Cancer Survivors
— First Responders / Law Enforcement
— Folsom residents
— Strollers
— US Military – Active Duty/Reserves
— US Military – Veterans - And last but not least, but perhaps most important … free post-race sno-cones! 🍧🍧🍧
Benefitting Local Charities
The Folsom Firecracker race will benefit two local nonprofits: Cancer Championsand the Neil Reitman Pediatric Burn Institute at Shriners Children’s Hospital of Northern California. We are grateful to be able to partner with both organizations to help support their life-changing work.
